Rental Agreement for Timeless Telephone

This rental agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into between Timeless Telephone, hereafter referred to as "Lessor," and the individual or entity named below, hereafter referred to as "Lessee," for the rental of a telephone guestbook and its components, as described below.

 

  1. Rental Item: The rental item is a telephone audio guestbook and its components, as described in the invoice provided to the Lessee. The Lessee is responsible for the proper use and care of the rental item during the rental period.

 

  1. Rental Period: The rental period begins on the date specified in the invoice and ends on the date specified in the invoice.

 

  1. Rental Fee: The rental fee for the rental item is as specified in the invoice. 100% of the rental fee is required at the time of booking to secure the rental. Additionally, at this time a $100.00 refundable security deposit is required. The rental fee is 100% refundable if cancelled 90 days before your rental day, and 50% refundable if 90 - 31 days before your rental day. Cancellation within 30 days of your event is non-refundable. The security deposit will be refunded once the telephone & accessories is returned in the same condition as it was received. 

 

  1. Late Returns: The Lessee must return the rental item to the Lessor on the next business day(for Friday/Saturday events, the phone & accessories should be sent back on Monday). If the rental item is returned late, the Lessee will be charged an additional fee of 25% of the rental fee per day until the rental item is returned. If the rental item is not returned within five days of the rental period, the Lessee will be charged the full replacement cost of the rental item. 

 

  1. Damage and Loss: The Lessee is responsible for any damage to the rental item or its components during the rental period, including damage caused by the Lessee or any third party. The Lessee is also responsible for the full replacement cost of the rental item in the event of loss or theft during the rental period. The security deposit will be applied to any damage or replacement costs, with any remaining balance due from the Lessee within 30 days of the end of the rental period.

 

  1. Use: The rental item is for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes without the express written permission of the Lessor. The Lessee may not alter or modify the rental item in any way.

 

  1. Indemnification: The Lessee agrees to indemnify and hold the Lessor harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of the rental item during the rental period.

 

  1. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario, and any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of Ontario.

 

  1. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Lessor and the Lessee and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or representations, whether oral or written.

 

  1. Acknowledgment: The Lessee acknowledges that they have read this Agreement, understand it, and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.
